Marketing Your Business on Facebook
Always Remember: #1 Goal is to build solid RELATIONSHIPS! Be sure your profile is complete, and looks sharp. Good, professional profile photo. String of positive, fun, engaging posts on your public timeline. Not a lot (if anything) on your profile or timeline about your company or product. Always invite via private message. Make it personal. Never post a company, product, or prospecting link in your timeline. It’s spammy, and will turn people off.
Shoot a VOICE message it mean more when they here you speak.
ADD a minimum of 10 people per day to your friends list.
Look for people in groups like health, vitamins, supplements, gyms, personal training, etc..
Once you add them as a friend - IMMEDIATELY send them this
"Hey ____
Saw you on the lit of people facebook suggested I become friends wit. Hope thats cool with you. How's things?"
They might respond with a very short answer like "hi" or "thats cool" or they might just accept the friend request
Respond by saying "facebook must see us in similar groups or interests. What do you like to do for fun or a hobby"
Just get the conversation started!

Would you please do me a quick favor and let me know if you're open? It's totally cool with me either way... No biggie!
That’s it. Keep it very simple, friendly, and always leave them an “out” if they’re not interested. Giving them an “out” goes a LONG way in making your communication not seem “spammy”, and you’re far more likely to end up with a new friend, even if they’re not interested in your offer right now.
FB MESSAGING GUIDELINES/RULES TO FOLLOW:
Statements/ Questions to Gain their Trust:
a) A digging question. When they tell you why they’re struggling, ask “How do you mean? and they will go deeper. For example:
“I don’t get to see my kids enough so need to do something different.”
“How do you mean? Can you expand/ elaborate on that?”
“I work 90 hours a week, and only get to kiss them goodnight and kiss them in the morning before I leave. I’m watching them grow up with no father/ mother.”
Closing Questions
The close begins at the very first message! You are already leading them into either a “YES or a “NO”- to being open to look at your business.
QUESTION #1: WHAT DO YOU DO?
The goal of this question is to get them to ask you back, (which 95% of them will), where in turn you can say a bit about your business and then go into question 2.
QUESTION #2: HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN I’M TALKING TO SOMEONE IF THEY’LL BE A GOOD CLIENT/ CUSTOMER FOR YOU?
This blows people away, because you are essentially asking them how YOU can help THEM get more customers. You then roll into question 3...are you ready?
QUESTION #3: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THAT FOR?
This will ultimately tell you how to proceed into question 6, because you will know if
they’re new in their field or they consider themselves “experts” already.
QUESTION #4: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?
You want to see if they are fulfilled in their life. If they do nothing for fun or very little, you immediately have an “IN” to solve a problem. When they give you their favorite activity, proceed with question #5.
QUESTION #5: HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO PLAY (TENNIS, GOLF, FOOTBALL)
(INSERT THEIR HOBBIE FROM QUESTION 4)
Mostly they will say “hardly ever,”which brings up a problem you can solve right away. And that problem is most likely solved with your business or mentorship.
QUESTION #6: HOW HAVE YOU PRIMARILY MARKETED YOUR BUSINESS IN THE PAST?
They will usually tell you the online or offline methods they are using. Then you can respond with something you’ve learned about the tactics they’ve used before, and suggest something new to help them grow their biz and all that jazz...hence you are becoming an “expert” in their mind and an authority figure.
QUESTION #7: HAVE YOU HAD GOOD RESULTS WITH THAT SO FAR?
Here (and most people don’t catch this) you are looking for people that say “NO”, or “Not really,” because now you know you can teach them something or offer them a better solution (maybe your business).
QUESTION #8: HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED DOING SOMETHING ELSE OR ARE HAPPY WITH WHERE YOU’RE AT NOW?
Obviously you’re looking for the people that say “YES” or “MAYBE,” then you know you’ve got someone interested who may have a problem that you can solve with your business. You then offer to share something about your business, IF they’re open to it, and proceed with question 9.
QUESTION #9: ARE YOU WORKING FULL TIME WITH YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS/ JOB OR DO YOU HAVE OTHER SIDE PROJECTS YOU’RE INVOLVED IN?
You want to know how entrepreneurial they are and how much time they have, that way you can position your “pitch” based on time management so they don’t feel overwhelmed.
QUESTION #10: THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE FOR YOU, BUT IF I COULD SHARE WITH YOU A WAY TO GET BETTER RESULTS WITHOUT INTERFERING TIME WISE WITH YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS, WOULD YOU BE OPEN TO IT?
Wait for their response, if they are skeptical you do a little more takeaway, but by this point you’ve positioned yourself as an expert and have built enough rapport with them where they feel comfortable with what you’re offering. Feel it out, if you don’t think it’s the right time to ask...then don’t! Trust yourself and your intuition (gut). Just as if you were having a face-to-face conversation, make sure they’re ready to hear about your business.
QUESTION #11: HOW SOON DO YOU THINK YO U CAN TAKE A LOOK AT THE INFORMATION?
Never say “when” “how soon” is much more effective and instead of them saying a week or a month, you will usually get an answer such as “tonight” or a “day” with that small tweak of wording.
QUESTION #12: HERE IS MY PHONE NUMBER (714-420-INFO), GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, WHAT’S YOURS SO I KNOW WHO’S CALLING ME?
You then follow up appropriately, get them on the phone with your upline (if you’re building a NM company) and bring them into the business the regular way.

*****What If They Don't Respond?*****
I recommend waiting 2-3 days after you’ve sent the first message, then send something like this:
Script: Hi (prospect). Hope you had a great weekend! I know sometimes I miss FB messages myself, or forget to answer, so I thought I'd check in real quick on the last message I sent you.
- Take roughly 2-3 minutes per person to search for the perfect prospect (aka: 10 people =30minutes a day)
- Always look at someone’s profile BEFORE you send them a personal message to find something in common with them.
- Write their FIRST NAME in the first sentence (building personal connection vs. robotic)
For example: “Hey John, I was scanning the posts in the Robert Kiyosaki page and noticed your comment. I glanced over your profile and you live in Pennsylvania, so do I! What do you do there? - Don’t pitch your business until at LEAST 3 rapport building messages back and forth, unless they’re drying to know about it and THEY start the conversation on it.
- Act excited about life (show passion, enthusiasm to be alive- attitude of gratitude). People can tell when you’re happy or being an negative Nelson acting like your pill has perhaps not kicked in, they sense when you’re frustrated, EVEN THROUGH MESSAGING (text writing).
- REMEMBER: Your immediate goal is JUST to make another friend and build that relationship. Don’t go into this gung ho on pitching them from the beginning- you just want to turn them from COLD to WARM! Think of it like dating- take it slow and don’t act desperate.
- Daily Method of Operation
- a) 5-10 connections per day (make a new friend) be genuine ladies and gentlemen, they can sense commission breath right away. Don’t be a Pitchy Paul so quick.
- b) 2-3 presentations/ videos/ meetings sent out or scheduled per day. (half if you’re part time or what you can handle, but push yourself.
- c) 1 follow up a day will keep
-
Statements/ Questions to Gain their Trust:
- Questions to Ask About Them: F.O.R.M
F.O.R.M:
F- (FROM) Where are you from?
O- (Occupation) What do you do for work?
R- (Recreation) What do you do for fun/ hobby/ past time/ leisure activity
M- (Motivation) What motivates you/ what is your ultimate goal/ what are you motivated to accomplish in 2016/2017/2018...- a) What do you do? (
- b) Do you have children
- c) How old are they? (don’t ask sometimes it’s a touchy subject, unless
there’s visual indicators and they have it published online for all of God’s
creatures to see.) Rule of thumb, be respectful and mindful of this. - d) What do you do for fun on the weekends?
- e) What made you decide to get into (insert occupation/ hobby/ past time...)
- f) How often do you have time to yourself?
- g) Any good vacations you’ve been on recently that you recommend?
- How have you marketed your business in the past? Online or Offline?
- I am really good at: (marketing, videos, Facebook, recruiting, closing, talking to people, inviting, sales, prospecting, writing, blogging, etc....) and I love helping other people in our industry get better at that. If you ever want any pointers, have questions, or need anything and I can help, I’ll be glad to help you.
- Why do you feel you’re struggling right now? (Write down their struggles
- How do you mean? (gets them to talk- open ended question)
Open Ended Question: Gets them to talk
Close Ended Question: Would be a yes or no answer.
In a conversation, when completing a research survey, being interviewed for a job or working on a homework assignment, you might find yourself presented with a series of closed-ended or open-ended questions. Close-ended questions are those
a) A digging question.
- Stories are extremely powerful. (Think Hollywood here- storyline).
a) “I totally know what you mean. I work closely with someone who was
also a truck driver (occupation) and he/she NEVER got to see their kids (insert pain point), after plugging into some of our trainings and following our system he/ she now has a brand new (fill in the blank: car, etc...)and gets to take his/ her kids to school every morning !
(“This is the success story!”) - FEEL, FELT, FOUND: An oldie but goodie here. Use your own experience to relate to what they’re going through. (Works online AND offline).
- a) “I can totally relate. I know how you feel, I felt the same way, but what I realized is that I am never going to get that time back with my kids if I don’t do something different.”
- b) “If I keep doing the same thing, I know that my future will not change, so I know it’s hard, but I know other close friends that are making it happen and felt the same way as they started.”
- TELL ME MORE ABOUT (BLANK):
- a) What you do
- b) Your hobbies
- c) Your daughter/ son
- d) Your own town
- e) Your own team (sports, your business team, community etc...)
- “YOU REMIND ME OF ONE OF MY PARTNERS I WORK WITH”= COMPLIMENT
“He/she has the same drive and motivation you do” = Question “Have you ever heard of him/ her? You’d love their stuff!!!”

Feel it out, if you don’t think it’s the right time to ask...then don’t! Trust yourself and your intuition (gut). Just as if you were having a face-to-face conversation, make sure they’re ready to hear about your business.
